Hailey, born in Halifax Nova Scotia, has lived most of her life in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Her schooling was primarily focused on wildlife biology and she has recently graduated with her Masters of Environmental Sciences from the University of Prince Edward Island.

It was through travel that Hailey really discovered her passion for wildlife as she spent 7 months in Australia and over 2 months in the beautiful country of South Africa further extending her field skills through a wildlife management course and volunteer internships. In addition, Hailey has traveled to 8 European countries and visited many Caribbean destinations such as Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Mexico. Hailey appreciates all different types of travel, but is extremely passionate about Eco-tourism destinations and a
multitude of adventure tours.

Her travel bucket lists include: Peru and hiking the Inca trail, exploring Central America, visiting Bali and the island of Indonesia and of course a return to Africa. In addition to the travel industry, Hailey remains actively involved in the world of wildlife through ongoing work with Parks Canada in Prince Edward Island. She has worked in Resource Conservation as well as Forest Management within the Park and hopes to continue both wildlife and travel endeavours in the future.

G Adventures - a Canadian company - is an adventure travel pioneer offering the planet's most awe-inspiring selection of affordable small-group tours, safaris and expeditions. Our award-winning trips embrace authentic accommodation, exotic cuisine and local transport to put travellers on a first-name basis with the planet’s people, cultures, landscapes and wildlife.

Don't just see the world. Make it better. With Planeterra, The G Adventures Foundation

Planet Earth is an amazing place, but it’s far from perfect. Since the very beginning, G Adventures has operated under the belief that travel is an exchange, not a commodity. As a social enterprise, the planet is our product. Its social and environmental welfare is fundamentally important to us – not just as a business, but as human beings, too. When you travel with us, you’re giving back as much – if not more – than what you take away, often in ways you’d never expect.

The Planeterra Foundation is a Canadian non-profit organization that helps empower local people to develop their communities, conserve their cultures, and create humane and supportive systems for their endeavours. Planeterra provides capacity building and catalyst grants to get community social enterprises off the ground. These businesses address local challenges by providing benefits for indigenous people, empowering marginalized women, and granting disadvantaged youth access to education, employment, and brighter futures. Planeterra also works to ensure these businesses have a thriving customer base by integrating programs into G Adventures’ itineraries globally.

G Adventures is Planeterra’s largest corporate donor, covering all operating costs so 100% of your donation will bring opportunity to people in need.

Dollar-a-Day Program
G Adventures’ Dollar-a-Day Program provides travellers with the opportunity to give back to the people and places visited on our tours by donating one dollar for every day you are on trip. 100% of these donations go directly to support community development projects worldwide that are implemented by Planeterra.

Let us know if you would like to contribute to Planeterra when you book your vacation
