DAY 1 - 31 January

Depart Canada for Kampala, Uganda.
DAY 2 - 01 February
Kampala
Arrive in Kampala, Uganda. Check into your accommodations in the guest house at Sanyu Babies Home and receive your orientation.

Spend today volunteering at the Sanyu Babies Home.

DAY 5 - 04 February
Kampala to Entebbe to Kibale
This morning you will be picked up in Kampala and driven to Kibale Forest Reserve via Mityana and Fort Portal, in a breathtaking landscape that forms the Albertine western Rift Valley. Kibale is the only national park conserved for the purpose of protecting the endangered chimpanzee. We will have several stop overs to relax, and sightseeing as we pass verdant countryside, traditional homesteads and farms. We will have our packed/picnic lunch on the way. Check in and relax for the rest of the evening.

DAY 6 - 05 February
Kibale
Today you enter the forest in search of the cheeky chimpanzees as well as other primates. Later go for a swamp walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is home to the biggest number of chimpanzees in Uganda, 200 bird species (including the Great blue turaco, Papyrus gonolek, Kingfisher, Waxbill, Cuckoo, Weaver, Hornbill, and many others), a variety of mammal species and primates, and an incredible array of plant life. Return to the lodge for overnight.

DAY 7 - 06 February
Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart after breakfast, drive via Kasese to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and check in at Kasenyi safari camp. Late afternoon game drives returning to the lodge before dusk for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 - 07 February
Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the early morning we do a game drive in Kasenyi area, within Queen Elisabeth park, on a look out for the lions, buffalos, elephants, and large numbers of Uganda Kobs and other antelopes. After we will go back to the lodge for breakfast, and relax until lunch time. At 1400 hours, we will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel (2 hours approx.), to look out for the hippos, great herds of buffaloes, and lots of water birds.

Kazinga Channel, the shores of which draw a large number of wild animals, birds, and reptiles - including the largest population of hippos - in the world.
DAY 9 - 08 February
Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector)
After breakfast, check out of Kasenyi Safari Camp and you are driven to the Ishasha sector of the park; check in at Ishasha Jungle lodge, then enjoy lunch. Later this afternoon depart on a game viewing drive with hopes of seeing some tree-climbing lions which this area is known for. Return to the lodge returning before dusk, freshen-up then enjoy dinner.

DAY 10 - 09 February
Queen Elizabeth National Park to Entebbe
After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Entebbe where we will be met and transferred to our hotel.

DAY 11 - 10 February
Depart Entebbe
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and take our transfer to the airport to start our homeward journey.
