I have been a travel professional since 1999 and have a background in Corporate Sales and Customer Sales.  During my career I have had the privilege of working at some pretty awesome companies and with such amazing people.  My true passion is taking care of people - that is what I do best making sure that all of my clients are purchasing the best product for their wants and needs and hearing about their happy, adventurous travels fulfills my heart. " People are my Passion" .  So blessed to help my clients with their travel dreams!

The world is Frances Gertsch’s playground. It has been since she took her first solo bus trip (300kms, from Edmonton to Calgary) at the tender age of seven. Exploring new surroundings has always been her greatest passion, and, as a travel agent, Frances lives her love every single day, leveraging her twenty years of knowledge and experience in the travel industry to help others enjoy the vacations of their dreams. 

Whether you aspire to cross the arctic by bush plane, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, relax on a sandy Caribbean beach, or embark on any other wild adventure, Frances will help you connect the dots to make it happen. 

If you’re looking for an experienced, organized, and thorough travel agent who oozes with genuine enthusiasm for a trip they will not actually be going on, you need to meet Frances. She’ll help make that vision in your mind’s eye a reality, dealing with all the nitty gritty details that remove the fun out of travel…allowing you to put your feet up and enjoy the adventure of a lifetime. The cure for your wanderlust is easy to find. It’s on Frances’ playground.

Frances is a Certified Travel Associate (The Travel Institute), a Certified Cruise Counsellor (Cruise Lines International Association), a member of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies, an International Air Transport Association (IATA) agent, and a member of the Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Specialists Association.

I love to work with groups, especially weddings!

Michelle started her career in the travel industry in 2007 as a full-time home based travel agent. During that time she assisted clients with the full range of world-wide travel experiences. Of particular interest, Michelle escorted a group to France and both her and Kevin escorted groups to Italy, Ireland, and France/Spain. For their 25th wedding anniversary, Kevin and Michelle experienced their first river cruise traveling through Austria and Germany en route to Amsterdam. Kevin, a full-time financial advisor, was intrigued with the travel industry and worked with Michelle primarily with escorted group travel.

Life has it’s own way of creating challenges and Michelle had her own challenge in 2010. While on a travel agent Sandals experience to Turks and Caico’s and Bahamas, Michelle was hospitalized in Bahamas and ultimately diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. An airlift to Miami for surgery and then two additional surgeries in Halifax over the past three years resulted in Michelle unable to continue to work full time in the business.

By this time, Kevin was definitely hooked and was looking for a way to continue in the travel industry in a limited but very focused way. Kevin and Michelle met with Travis and Paula of Stewart Travel Group and felt that they had a shared interest in escorted group travel and STG were willing to allow them the flexibility to specialize moving forward.

“Our goal is to offer at least one escorted group travel experience to Europe annually and to focus our sales efforts on escorted motor-coach tours and river cruise holidays exclusively.”

Active in their community, Kevin currently volunteers his time with the local Knights of Columbus and as a Big Brother. He recently retired as Chairperson of the St Joseph’s Finance Committee. Michelle also volunteers with St. Joseph's with bi-weekly visits to the sick. Kevin and Michelle believe strongly in giving back and currently sponsor 6 international children through Chalice. They are both former badminton coaches but today you are more likely to see Kevin and Michelle at the curling rink or on a golf course.

Julia was born and raised in Summerside, PEI. She graduated from St. Thomas University in 2005 with an Arts degree in Criminology and Sociology. It was during University that she caught the travel bug when she participated in a student exchange program for one semester, studying in Brisbane, Australia.

After graduation, Julia booked a flight to London, England to meet up with friends she had met in Australia and to travel Europe for a year. A few months in, the opportunity to become a tour manager for a European tour company came up, and she went for it. At the age of 23, Julia jumped on a training trip for 65 days where she and other Tour Managers and Drivers in training traveled all over Europe on a coach and learned everything there was to know about working for a European Tour Company. It was one of the most difficult and rewarding experiences she has ever had, and after completing the training, she became a Tour Manager and worked on and off in Europe for several years. She believes she has completed about 30 “laps” of the continent including Western and Eastern Europe, and well as the UK and Ireland.

In between working on the road, Julia was able to travel outside of Europe to South America, Southeast Asia, and Australia. She also returned to Canada and spent a couple of years working as a travel agent in Toronto, Ontario.

Julia moved back home to PEI in August of 2011. It was then that she started dating her now husband, Jason, who she married in 2016. They live together in Summerside, half time with his two teenagers, and full time with their fur baby (dog). Julia and her husband have traveled together to Europe for their honeymoon and also on several trips to the Caribbean. They have also doing a tour of Peru to see the incredible Machu Picchu. 

Julia still works as a Tour Manager in the summers but now closer to home. Her tours are of the Maritimes, Newfoundland, or the major cities of Ontario and Quebec.

To say that her life has been a whirlwind would be an understatement but Julia would not change a thing. She is happy to take her wealth of experience and knowledge from working and traveling to over 50 countries and use it to help make your travel dreams come true.

Kelvin Jones travels for a break from reality. It was on a Caribbean beach where Kelvin first discovered the value of a vacation, as his stress melted away, giving him space and time to just breathe. Since then, the travel bug has led Kelvin across Canada, throughout the US, and to many destinations outside of North America, including Jamaica, Belgium, and France. 

Kelvin loves all modes of travel and has equal appreciation for the ease of an all-inclusive vacation, the thrill of a motorcycle trip, and the tranquility of exploring remote locations by train. For Kelvin, the “how” isn’t nearly as important as the “why”—getting away from it all. 

If it’s a budget-friendly vacation you want, Kelvin is the agent for you. He’s ever-mindful of affordability, and treats your travel budget as if it were his own. Kelvin has spent his entire adult life working with people and customer service truly matters to him. When you trust your travel plan to Kelvin, you’ll enjoy the experience of a lifetime, at a price that makes sense for you. 

Everyone deserves an escape from real life once in awhile. Kelvin will work hard so that you can sit back and not work for a change.

I have over 15 years experience in working with clients on event planning and truly enjoy exceeding expectations to create amazing experiences. I look forward to create amazing memories for all my clients.

A "glass-half full" kind of person, Cheryl is an eternal optimist who loves people and travel! She fell in love with other cultures in her childhood, when she was fortunate to live in Africa for a few years with her family.  Easy-going, calm, collected, and organized, her resume is diverse and she considers herself a 'Jill-of-all-trades". From selling BMWs and MINI Coopers to working on film sets to office managing, through to owning (and operating) a successful handyperson business with her husband Stephen, she always puts her clients' needs and wishes foremost in her work. 
As the Business Manager for Stewart Travel Group, her administrative experience and dedication to great customer service is welcomed, and she'll be happy to serve you in any way she can. When she's not busy with administrative or marketing work, you might find her with a book, a garden trowel, or a camera in her hands.

Stephen often jokes that he must be adopted, as his love of travel, experiencing other cultures (especially their cuisine-the spicier the better!), and his sense of adventure exploring new places is not held in quite the same regard by his siblings. His self-employed parents taught him the value of putting in a good day's (and sometimes night's) work, and being dedicated to customer service, and he's taken those values into every aspect of his life. 

He's known for his quick wit and humour, along with great troubleshooting skills and he's excited to bring those qualities to his role as a travel advisor. An avid researcher and lifelong learner, Stephen (or Steve-he answers to both equally) is excited to help his clients find the perfect place to visit; whether it's an annual vacation south to escape our winters, a bucket list trip , or a hosted group tour.

Prior to returning to his roots on PEI, Stephen was an entrepreneur, owning and operating a successful handyperson company for five years with his wife Cheryl in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a former small business owner, he recognizes the value of a customer's time and money and will ensure that his clients' needs are first and foremost each and every time. 

And when he's not in front of a computer making his clients' travel dreams come true, you'll probably find him on a beach. The ocean is in his veins!

Some of our best memories, fun and bonding as a family have happened as we have traveled and learned more about our world, others and one another. It is my pleasure to be your agent as you dream, plan and share in these adventures with the people who matter most to you.

I went on my first all-inclusive in 2006 and I thought I was in paradise....and then I went to Europe and now I can't choose! I have had the pleasure of escorting Veterans on Commemorative journeys in Italy and the Netherlands. I have been toured Germany and France and I can't wait wait to see what is next!
